PostSubject: Forum Mod vs. Server Mod   February 16th 2015, 8:46 am

I want to clear something up that I feel I need to seeing as we'll be having an addition to staff relatively soon. There is a difference between Forum Mod and Server Mod.

Forum Moderators are not server moderators. They have their own permissions and rules here on the forums. They are not selected based on application. They are personally designated by me according to when I need help keeping up management. They are not permitted to post responses to certain boards (applications, ban appeals) but they are able to enforce any rule here on the forums and lock/basket topics upon completion or inactivity.

Server Moderators have different permissions. Server Moderators do not have board rights here. They cannot moderate here because they do not have the training to use the board moderation commands. I will, however, give them chatbox privileges. They do have the right to post in ban appeals, applications, staff topics, but that doesn't give them the right to "back-seat" moderate.

If you are a server moderator interested in becoming a forum moderator, you can talk to me. However, again, applications are not taken for that rank. I assign as I see fit. This is not a process of favorites. It's as I need help to keep up the website, which is slowly growing in activity.

I hope this clears up a bit of confusion for you guys.
